Questions

Do iPhones and Android phones play together?

Yes, any mix works: iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets join one table in a recent browser.

Do we need an app or an account?

No, every game runs in the browser. Open bigboard.games on each device; nobody signs up to play.

Can one phone play alone?

Yes, most games also play on a single device: two people share the screen, or one person plays a bot or a solo mode. The table above says how many fit on one device, and the list of 2 player games on one phone compares them.

Must the phones be on the same Wi-Fi?

No, but it's smoothest: on one Wi-Fi the devices find each other by themselves. Elsewhere, scan the QR code or type the four-letter code, and a secure relay connects them. How to play on two phones together goes through it step by step.

Can a friend in another place join?

Yes, send them the table's link or code. Their screen shows the whole board or field, turned to them, and they play from there.
