What is Tower Defense?
Tower Defense is a game in the works for BIGBOARD.GAMES, where phones and tablets laid edge to edge become one big board, like the games you can play today. Players asked for it on our ideas board, so it's on the way.
It isn't playable yet, and details may change while we build and test it. Tap Get notified on its card and we'll send one email when it's out.
How it plays
The idea is one path that winds across all the screens. Enemies march along it from one device to the next, and everyone at the table builds towers beside it to stop them before they reach the end.
It's co-operative: the whole table wins or loses together, like the maze in Tilt Run. Like every game here, it will run in the browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up.
What you need
BIGBOARD.GAMES games run on phones and tablets, iPhone and Android mixed. How many devices it takes isn't settled yet.
A table will form the way it does for every game here, as How it works shows: open bigboard.games on each device. On the same Wi-Fi they find each other by themselves; otherwise scan the QR code or type the table's code.
Why it's fun at a table
Tower defense is better with someone beside you: each of you minds the stretch of path on your own screen, and you both shout when a wave slips through.
While it's in the works, the party games on phones are ready to play today, on the same devices.
